Decider over Observer
Deciders have more balanced Observer poles in the middle: Control (Oi) and Chaos (Oe). Organizing what's known and handling what's new tend to feel more manageable. People are the harder territory. Self (Di) and Tribe (De) sit at the extremes, so judgment, rejection, approval, and conflict can trigger the strongest reactions.
Schaffer built his comedy career with Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone, friends he'd known since school. That makes a failed joke more than a technical problem: who gets to decide whether it's funny, and what happens when the friends disagree? The Decider struggle concerns the people in the room and the significance of their judgments. Longstanding collaboration is a strength; the blind spot is letting disagreement about the work become a referendum on respect or belonging.
