Build a personality type.
The four spheres below represent divisions of cognitive labor. In the OPS framework, your mind does not give equal responsibility to every function. Your first and last functions are like a 90/10 split: one is heavily prioritized while its opposite receives much less attention.
Your middle two functions are more balanced—think of them as roughly a 60/40 split. The larger sphere represents the function that carries more of the load, while the smaller sphere represents its counterpart. These ratios are illustrations of relative priority, not scientifically measured percentages or literal amounts of brain energy. For jumper types, the third function can still be a Savior despite being the smaller middle sphere.
We will build the stack one OPS coin at a time. Start with Coin #1: Observer versus Decider, then Coin #2: Di versus De, Coin #3: Oi versus Oe, Coin #4: Thinking versus Feeling, and Coin #5: Sensing versus Intuition. Only the two Savior functions receive color when their corresponding T/F or S/N preference is selected. Normally these are positions 1 and 2; for jumpers, positions 1 and 3. Demon functions remain neutral gray.
Build a personality type your way: enter an OPS type manually or select the coins one by one in the interactive builder below.
Where is the imbalance?
The dominant and inferior functions occupy the largest and smallest balls. The middle functions are more balanced.
Which Decider leads?
Choose the prioritized Decider function. Its opposite goes in the lower Decider ball; Observer balls remain unchanged.
Which Observer leads?
Choose the prioritized Observer function. Its opposite goes in the lower Observer ball; Decider balls remain unchanged.
Which Decider is prioritized?
Thinking and Feeling are opposite Decider functions. Selecting one colors both Decider balls and adds the i/e suffix when Coin #2 is known.
Which Observer is prioritized?
Sensing and Intuition are opposite Observer functions. Selecting one colors both Observer balls and adds the i/e suffix when Coin #3 is known.
What do the Saviors combine into?
The first animal is calculated automatically from the two Savior functions: Di + Oe = Consume, Di + Oi = Sleep, De + Oe = Play, and De + Oi = Blast.
Which animal comes second?
The second Savior must be from the opposite category: an Energy animal (Play or Sleep) follows an Info animal (Consume or Blast), and vice versa.
Select Coins 1–3 to determine the first animal and unlock these options.
Which category is third?
Info dominant places the remaining Info animal third; Energy dominant places the remaining Energy animal third. The other animal becomes fourth (missing).
Which animal is last?
Introverted types have Play or Blast last; extroverted types have Consume or Sleep last. Selecting either Coin 8 or 9 resolves the last two animals and determines the other coin.
Masculine or feminine?
Set sensory and extroverted Deciding independently. Opposite functions receive the opposite modality.
Social preferences
Select both social preferences
